Four reasons to stop yelling at your child
In some periods we might find ourselves stressed, frustrated or short tempered
When we shout at our children we are under the influence of our social heritage. Most of the time we pass on the way we were raised by our parents (good as bad) to the way we behave towards our own child. This we mainly do without realizing it. We get captured by childish emotions and our reaction gets out of proportions.
An important thing to know is that when you shout at your child;
- your child gets scared of you
you hurt your child emotionally as much as if you slap it
your child can develop low self-esteem, and increased aggression
You destroy its ability to listen or think under pressure later in life
It is never too late to change your behaviour
Your child will love you for it
